Stony Brook University’s School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS) is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to lead a high-profile research project focused on understanding long-term trends in carbonate chemistry and ocean acidification in the New York Bight (NYB). The objectives, as outlined in detail below, will be to 1) assist in collection of new samples and data focused on various parameters relevant to ocean acidification during at least three cruises per year, 2) evaluate these new data, along with previously collected seasonal cruise data (over numerous cruises since 2018), to determine influences on and long term trends in carbonate chemistry of the NYB, and
