| University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: JPF06175 The Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to work on the origins of methane gas on Earth and in the Solar System in general. This NASA-funded position provides the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art instrumentation for measuring rare isotopologues of methane gases in collaboration with experimentalists. A background in stable isotope mass spectrometry and vacuum extraction line methods would be an asset. The initial appointment will be for a 12-month period, with the possibility for renewal for up to two additional years with satisfactory performance. Salary will follow standards for post-doctoral scholars and will scale with the applicant's experience.
